The amount of Cash Back to be earned varies according to the types of card you have. Cash back rates also vary according to the shopping category. Sam’s Club credit cards have no annual fee and can also serve as membership cards. 

How to Earn 2% Cash Back at Sam’s Club

When you sign up for a Sam’s Club Plus membership, you can start earning Cash Back of up to 2% on your qualifying transactions at the store. Cash Back earnings are loaded into your account until you can redeem them for cash rewards or store credits, about 2 months before your membership is due to end. Sam’s Club sets a maximum reward amount which you can earn within 12 months upon activation.

Redeeming your 2% Cash Back as a Plus member is easy. Cash Back rewards are ready for redemption at the end of the given membership year. Just go to any Sam’s Club location to redeem your Cash Back reward. You also have the option to convert these into store credit. Cash Back rewards may only be redeemed by the primary Plus member. If you don’t have a Plus membership at Sam’s Club, you can still earn Cash Back as a club-level member with a Sam’s Club credit card. Cash Back rates vary according to the type of credit card. Plus members who also have a Sam’s Club credit card can earn bigger Cash Back than club-level members with a Sam’s Club credit card. 

Sam’s Club credit cards come in two types: individual and business credit cards all issued by MasterCard. These work in pretty much the same way as most Cash Back credit cards in that you get rewards on qualified purchases made at any store location as well as online purchases. With a Sam’s Club Mastercard, you can earn Cash Back on dining, travel, gas, and other expenses. You have to be sure to pay your monthly credit card balances to avoid steep interest rates. 

Is There a Limit to Earning Cash Back at Sam’s Club? 

Yes. Sam’s Club members and Sam’s Club credit cardholders can earn a maximum of $2000 in cash back rewards per membership year. When you have earned the maximum Cash Back earnings in your account, you won’t earn any more Cash Back on your purchases. You have to redeem your $2000 rewards before you can start collecting Cash Back rewards again.
